When a leading Telugu channel first invited
Mahesh Kathi to be part of the first season of Bigg Boss Telugu, they had their reasons for doing so. Known as a film critic, and an activist who spoke on any kinds of topics on social media, the channel thought that Katthi Mahesh with his outspoken nature would liven up the proceedings in the Bigg Boss House. Unfortunately for them, their plan backfired as Kathi chose to play a rather passive role in the proceedings, taking a diplomatic stance and at no stage, causing any serious controversy barring the odd spar or two with
Siva Balaji and Aadarsh Balakrishna, until his eviction.
But now, the scenario is such that hardly a day goes by without Kathi being in the news and making one sensational statement or the other, especially on
Pawan Kalyan. While Bigg Boss management hoped to cash in on Kathi’s reputation as a controversial person, it is Kathi who ended up using Bigg Boss to catapult himself on to a bigger league.
