What Led to the Complaints?

The most controversial episodes aired between February 11 and 19, with tensions peaking during the final days in the villa. According to reports from The Independent, many complaints centered around alleged bullying by contestant Elma Pazar, who was involved in a dramatic feud with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Curtis Pritchard.

The February 12 episode alone drew 1,347 complaints, while the February 11 episode received 820. Further episodes on February 13 and 16 also saw viewer complaints, though in smaller numbers—63 and 57, respectively.

Drama unfolded when Ekin-Su confronted Elma over a villa challenge in which Elma had questioned whether Ekin-Su and Curtis were the weakest couple. The argument escalated when Elma accused Ekin-Su of hypocrisy, reminding her that she had kissed Sammy Root during a heart-rate challenge despite assuring her former friend that she wouldn’t.

As tensions ran high, Elma snapped at Curtis, telling him to “shut your mouth” and “f— off.” Meanwhile, Ekin-Su claimed that Elma had developed an inflated ego after being voted the public’s favorite.

Fan Reactions and ITV’s Response

Viewers took to social media to express their outrage, with many criticizing the show’s handling of the drama and accusing ITV of failing to prevent toxic behavior. Some fans called for Elma to be held accountable for her remarks, while others believed the show had deliberately fueled conflicts for entertainment value.

Despite the backlash, ITV has not publicly commented on the complaints. However, the controversy has reignited debates about reality TV ethics and how such programs manage conflicts between contestants.

As Love Island All Stars Season 2 comes to an end, the fallout from this year’s drama leaves questions about the show’s future direction—and whether producers will take viewer concerns into account for upcoming seasons.
