Marriage introduced her to the festival. “My husband Kishor Sharle’s family, from Madhya Pradesh, celebrates Karwa Chauth with full enthusiasm. Years back when we got married, during my first fast, I learned a lot from my in-laws and friends. Every family follows different rituals and stories, but the essence — praying for your partner’s well-being — stays the same.”
This year, the celebration feels more personal. “I have an off from
Mangal Lakshmi shoot today, so I’ll be getting ready myself. It’s my way of thanking the universe for blessing me with such a wonderful husband. These days, many husbands fast too, but I never let him. This day is mine,” she says adding, “He doesn’t need to prove his love one day a year — he stands by me, supports me, and makes life easier every single day.”
