The contestants on Lakshmi Manchu's 'Maharani' will be made to find a 'day job' this Saturday

’ saw the contestants go ‘back to the roots’ last week by doling out their best muggu designs and more.

This week, the contestants will compete against each other at their ‘day job’. The channel the show airs on posted a promo for the same with the caption, “This week on #Maharani, watch as our contestants shock every one with their Day Job's. Let us find out which contestant, had the best day! Tune in on Saturday at 9 pm.” (sic)

In the promo, Lakshmi Manchu says that she’s going to shock all the contestants on the show by giving them different jobs to do for the day. The contestants sell vegetables, dole out chaat, teach classical dance, serve customers at restaurants, sell clothes, drive, sell products door-to-door, be a sports teacher and even become a bus conductor for a day.

Various clips of the contestants carrying out their ‘day jobs’ with panache are shown and later the contestants tell Lakshmi Manchu all about their experience. The contestant who sold vegetables even talks of the harassment she faced through the day, narrating an incident. Lakshmi Manchu asks a girl who cooked for the day if her hair didn’t fall in the food when she flipped it. She even makes a joke how the contestant must not have noticed because her hair is dyed blond.

A contestant who worked for the day as a taxi driver also narrates hilarious incidents she faced with customers. Lakshmi Manchu and rest of the contestants burst out laughing at that. Comments under the promo hint at viewers being impatient to watch the episode already and even praising Lakshmi Manchu for the show. With more than 28K views in four hours and numerous shares and likes, ‘Maharani’ seems to be a show hit with the viewers.
