Popular, senior Tollywood comedian Gundu Hanumantha Rao passed away on Monday morning following a heart attack. Hanumantha Rao who had acted in over 400 movies was equally busy on television was part of the hugely popular comedy series
Amrutham
in which he played the role of Anji aka Anjaneyulu. Tributes poured in from all quarters from Tollywood and the television world mourning the loss of Hanumantha Rao.
Television anchor and actress Sree Mukhi was among those who expressed their grief at the passing away of the veteran actor. Gundu Hanumantha Rao had recently participated in her television show
Pataas
which she hosts with Ravi on ETV and Sree Mukhi recounted this in her post online. “Gundu Hanmanth Rao Garu! He recently came to Pataas! Loved him as an artist and as a person! Deeply saddened! (sic),” posted Sree Mukhi on Twitter.
