Priyanka is currently enjoying her much-needed break.
She is spending some me-time and Instagram is one of her favourite pass times. She keeps sharing fan edits of her pictures and videos from Mounaragam with co-star Shivakumar. Ankit and Ammulu from Mounaragam enjoy a loyal fan base on social media. Priyanka and Shivakumar command a significant following among young netizens. Priyanka and Shivakumar's Mounaragam went off-air recently.
On the TV front, Priyanka is currently seen playing the female lead in the recently launched TV show Janaki Kalaganaledu.
The show features Amardeep, Raasi, Raja Ravindra and others in key roles. In the show, Priyanka essays the role of Janaki, a young girl who is the apple of her family's eye. She enjoys the love and support of her family especially her father who is ready to get her married to someone more educated than her. On the other hand, the male protagonist (Amardeep) works in a sweets shop. He has the highest regards for his mother who according to him gets the best for him. She wants to get him married to someone who is less educated than him. How did the two contrasting characters cross paths and the consequences forms the crux of the story.
The story has a striking resemblance with Bengali TV show 'Tomay Amay Mile' which was again loosely based on the Hindi show 'Diya Aur Baati Hum'.
