is back to entertain the telly audiences after his socio-fantasy drama Nagabhairavi.
He is playing the male lead in the upcoming Telugu daily soap 'Malli'. The channel airing the show has unveiled a teaser of the show on its social networking handle. The teaser shows the male lead (Pawon) falling in awe with Malli, a village belle. She reminds him that none can underestimate her.
Interestingly, the show is touted to be the remake of the popular Hindi daily soap
Imlie
Sumbul Touqeer Khan, Gashmeer Mahajani, Mayuri Deshmukh, Fahmaan Khan and others. The show premiered in November 2020.
Speculations are rife that the plot is loosely inspired from the storyline of iconic Bengali soap Ishti Kutum, which was earlier remade in Hindi and Telugu as Kongumudi in 2017. But the show failed to measure up to the expectations on the TRP charts. However, an official confirmation is awaited at the moment.
Notably, Imlie has been performing consistently on the TRP charts. It remains to be seen if Malli can live up to the expectations. The show is expected to help Pawon bounce back after
