Manoj finds an article in the newspaper about his performance with
Kokila
in Srirangapatnam. This leaves Manoj infuriated. Indraja and Jagadamba blame Kokila for the news report and instigate him further against Kokila. Ashok asks Manoj to ignore petty issues like these. Indraja and Jagadamba are happy that their trick worked.
Kokila falls on the feet of
Ramesh Chandra
and seeks for forgiveness. She explains that she had to perform with Manoj under inevitable conditions. She further swears on her late mother-in-law and promises to never let him down again. Manorama arrives and shows him the news report about Kokila and Manoj’s concert. Ramesh Chandra fumes with anger. He reprimands Kokila for the embarrassment. While Sameer and Amar are disappointed with this,
Sindhu
and Manorama are glad that Ramesh Chandra hates Kokila.
Indraja calls up Sindhu and asks her to grab the opportunity to get closer to Ramesh Chandra and oust Kokila out of the house. Sindhu assures her he'd do the same. Indraja is shocked to see Lakshmi overhearing her conversation with Sindhu. Lakshmi asks Indraja not to pollute Sindhu’s mind with selfishness and hatred towards Kokila. Indraja asks Lakshmi to mind her own business. Ashok intervenes and asks Indraja the reason behind their argument. Indraja complains that Lakshmi is concerned about Kokila. Ashok rebukes Lakshmi for thinking about Kokila and ignoring his instructions. Adding that Kokila is not their daughter, Ashok orders Lakshmi not to take Kokila’s name ever.
Sindhu plans to take coffee for Ramesh Chandra. Kokila asks her to avoid meeting him as he is very disturbed. Sindhu says she can’t ignore him now. Sameer and Amar yet again blame Kokila for the problem.
