Karthika Deepam written update July 5, 2018: Deepa gives Shravya the shock of her life

, Shravya finds fault with Deepa offering prayers assuming the place and rights of Soundarya, their mother-in-law. Shravya further provokes Deepa by grilling about her pregnancy. She accuses Deepa of infidelity.

Karthik witnesses this conversation in silence and awaits Deepa’s answer. Infuriated Deepa slaps Shravya. Karthik chooses not to interfere. He fears Shravya to leak this truth to the entire family.

Deepa is seen angry with Karthik for not rebuking Shravya. Karthik gives a cold reaction and puts the blame on Deepa. She thinks Karthik is taking revenge for her father’s (Murali Krishna) allegations about his (Karthik) infertility in the past. Karthik feels disgusted with Deepa.

Meanwhile, Vihari calls Deepa and invites her home to receive his gifts. Deepa refuses to come anywhere. Karthik overhears this conversation and leaves. He is afraid that the world will come to know about his infertility and that’s why he is determined to kick Deepa out of the house.

Bhagyalakshmi and Neeladri call Shravya home and rebuke her for staying mum about Deepa’s pregnancy. She pledges to ruin her happiness.

Shravya swaps Deepa’s tablets with a lethal one that can potentially cause a miscarriage. As she rejoices Deepa taking the tablets, she in turn shocks Shravya.
