As expected, bringing back Deepa to Karthika Deepam has worked in favour of the show, as per the latest TRP report.
The show featuring Deepa, which was aired on August 15 (Monday), has recorded a significant spike in its viewership with the episode. And the show has further sustained the growth throughout the week, the latest TRP report suggests.
Karthika Deepam had interesting episodes including the promise of Karthik aka Doctor Babu's return and also the possible comeback of Monitha throughout the week, which might have helped the show maintain its TVRs. The return of Deepa (Premi Viswanath) and Karthik (Nirupam Paritala) has created a lot of buzz on social media with the teaser showing Deepa recovering from coma becoming fodder for memes as well.
The makers, who opted for a generation leap a few months back, have decided to cut back to the past showing Karthik and Deepa surviving the near-fatal accident after the consistent drop in the TRPs. As per the new storyline, Deepa recovers from the accident while Nirupam suffers memory loss. Monitha (Shobha Shetty), the lead antagonist of the show, will now exploit Karthik’s health condition and take revenge on Deepa.
As Karthika Deepam continues to rule the TRP charts, Guppedantha Manasu has secured the second spot with a notable hike in its TVRs. The Mukesh and Raksha Gowda starrer has been giving other top TV shows a stiff competition ever since its launch. On the other hand, Kasthuri Shankar and Indraneel starrer Intinti Gruhalakshmi has also recorded an improvement in its viewership and stood strong in third spot; due credits to its recent episodes.
While Devatha featuring Suhasini and Arjun Ambati in the lead roles is listed in the fourth spot, Amardeep and Priyanka Jain’s Janaki Kalaganaledu stood fifth in the TRP charts.
These shows are closely followed by Ennenno Janmala Bandham, Radhamma Kuturu, Trinayani and Prema Entha Madhuram respectively.
