Karthika Deepam

is trying to engage fans with Deepa's emotional drama and

Monitha

's wicked plans to enter Karthik's life as his second wife.

As per the latest reports, Monitha will reveal the biggest lie that got her close to Karthik and perform the ritual as his wife. In a conversation with Bharati, Monitha will appreciate the latter for lying to Soundarya and Karthik about her baby boy's birth. Bharati will feel guilty for deceiving Karthik and Soundarya.

For the unversed, Monitha made Bharati lie to Soundarya that the baby had true knots while delivery. This leaves Soundarya worried about Karthik's well-being as she believes such a birth can bring life-threat to Karthik. Adding to her fears, Karthik escapes an accident by a whisker. Karthik reluctantly performs the ritual along with Monitha upon Soundarya's insistence. Monitha, who successfully convinced Soundarya that she was pregnant with Karthik's child, is now trying every trick in the book to take advantage of the situation.

In the recent episode, Deepa, who caught Karthik and Monitha performing the ritual in the temple, meets Monitha later and warns her of dire consequences.

Karthika Deepam, one of the most-watched Telugu daily soaps, features

Premi Viswanath

as Deepa, Nirupam Paritala as Karthik, Shobha Shetty as Monitha, Archana Ananth as Soundarya, and others in pivotal roles.

I want to be a doctor and also continue acting; Sai Pallavi is my inspiration: Karthika Deepam fame Krithika aka Sourya

Telugu television boasts about many talented child actors and Baby Krithika is unarguably one of them. Claiming to fame as Sourya in Karthika Deepam, Krithika has appeared in a few successful Sarileru Neekevvaru et al. On the occasion of Children's Day, ETimes TV got the child actress talking about the special day, how she strikes a balance between acting and school, her ambitions and more. Excerpts...

People are recognising me now. I feel special and very happy when my seniors and juniors at school ask me for an autograph.

My teachers keep asking me about the upcoming updates on the show. I tell them to ask about my sequences alone as I, too, don't know much about the story.

Today is Chacha Nehru's birthday. It is celebrated as Children's Day. I've learnt about him at school and I've watched his biography video on YouTube also. I keep watching Mathematics and problem solving videos on YouTube.

We have many performances in school on this day (November 14 i.e., Childrens Day). I usually participate in solo singing but I also take part in group dancing with my friends. I'm learning vocal singing and Kuchipudi also.

I want to be a pilot. One of my uncles is a pilot. I love flying those big aeroplanes. I love to watch the sunset from the cockpit. Or else, I want to be a doctor and continue acting also. Sai Pallavi (actress) akka is my inspiration. I like her acting and dancing.

In movies, I like Akhil (Akkineni) and Keerthi Suresh. I admire their performances in the movies Akhil and Mahanati. I want to become like Savitri garu (late actress) and Sridevi garu. Vijaya Santhi akka once said I resemble Sridevi garu as a child actress. I want to be like her if I'm into acting.

I shoot for nearly 10 days and then try to complete my pending notes and class work in the next one week. My teachers, friends and tutors help me cope up quickly. I carry a subject book to the sets and try to finish a lesson or two between the shots. When my mom accompanies me to the shoots, she will teach me mathematics or other topics.

My mom or dad usually accompany me to the sets. They manage their jobs and then take care of my shootings and studies as well. They have my grandma to take care of, too. Yet they work very hard to help me find a balance between my academics and acting. Nothing would have been possible without them.

I missed my school and friends a lot during the lockdown. My mom used to give me many tasks. I used to help her and also started reading 7th standard text books. 6th standard was easy but not seventh class. So, I've started preparing early.
