Suma took to her Instagram handle to share a few pictures of receiving a 'proclamation' from Sam Joshi, the Mayor of Edison, New Jersey, for her services in the entertainment industry. Interestingly, Sam is also one of the youngest Mayors of Indian origin at Edison.

On the personal front, Suma has recently cleared the air on rumours of divorce with husband
Rajeev Kanakala. She graced the show 'Alitho Saradaga' as a guest and revealed that she had many fights with Rajeev in their 23 years of marriage. She further added that seeking divorce as a couple is 'easy' but as parents is 'very difficult'.
