Bigg Boss Telugu: From Navdeep to Mumait Khan, a look at most successful and unsuccessful wild card entries so far

What is Bigg Boss Telugu without wild card entries? Every season, the makers try to keep up the buzz, momentum and entertainment quotient high with some unexpected wild card entries. While a few contestants succeeded in measuring up to the expectations, a few couldn't use the opportunity to the fullest for various reasons. Here's a quick recap of the most successful and unsuccessful wild card contestants so far.

2/12

Deeksha Panth

The gorgeous actress of Racha fame stepped into the BB house as the first wild card contestant of season one hosted by Jr NTR. Deeksha has spiced up the show with her presence and performance and has survived for close to four weeks in the 71-day season.

3/12

Navdeep

He is considered to be one of the most entertaining wild card contestants of the reality TV series in Telugu. Stepping into the BB house on the 29th day, Navdeep emerged as the third runner up of season one hosted by Jr NTR. His wit and sense of humour was widely appreciated by fans.

4/12

Nandini Rai

The second season of BB Telugu hosted by Nani upped the glamour quotient of the season but couldn't leave a lasting impact. Stepping in as the first wild card contestants of the season, Nandini developed a close association with co-contestants, Tejaswi and Tanish. She was mired in controversies post-eviction after she blamed Kaushal's online fan community for spreading hate against her.

5/12

Pooja Ramachandran

The talented actress proved her mettle within the first week of her entry into the BB house as the second wild card contestant of the season. She soon became the captain of the house and gave the male contestants a stiff competition in the physical tasks. She also had her issues with Kaushal in the game and eventually got eliminated from the show after a stay of nearly 5 weeks.

6/12

Tamanna Simhadri

She was not only the first wild card contestant of the season 3 but also the first transgender contestant of the series in Telugu. Tamanna grabbed attention with her personal attack on co-contestants Ravikrishna and the rest of the contestants. Her provocative gameplay earned flak on social media which resulted in her quick elimination from the show.

7/12

Shilpa Chakraborty

The renowned anchor made an unexpected entry into the show on day 43. She couldn't survive for more than two weeks despite her performance in the physical tasks. She was expected to make a strong TV comeback with BB Telugu 3 but her brief stint did not measure up to the expectations, making it one of the ineffective wild card entries.

8/12

Kumar Sai

Comedian Kumar Sai Pampana of Ee Rojullo fame entered Bigg Boss Telugu 4 as the first wild card contestant of the season. He stepped into the house amid sky-high expectations and is yet to pronounce his presence in the house. He took his own sweet time to settle in the house and perform. Towards the end of his eviction, he earned a niche fan base who wanted him back in the house.

9/12

Avinash

In a move to up the entertainment quotient of the show, the makers of Bigg Boss Telugu 4 introduced a mid-week wild card entry keeping aside the tradition of a wild card entry on the weekends. He had allegedly quit the popular comedy show Jabardasth to take part in Bigg Boss Telugu season 4. Avinash turned out to be one of the best entertainers across all the seasons of the reality TV series.

10/12

Wild card re-entry of Syamala, Nutan Naidu and Ali Reza

There are a few contestants who made a comeback into the show as wild card contestants. While Ali Reza left a lasting impact in his second innings becoming one of the five finalists of season 3, Nutan Naidu and Syamala in season 2 also made a re-entry but eventually got eliminated from the show without a buzz.

11/12

Mumait Khan

The actress of season one fame was a contestant of the ongoing OTT edition Bigg Boss Non-Stop as well. She made a surprising re-entry into the show recently to play a special cameo in the courtroom task. However, her second innings was also brief.

12/12

Baba Bhaskar

The ace choreographer and former BB Telugu season 3 contestant is now brought back into BB Non-Stop to up the drama and entertainment quotient. He was introduced as the next wild card contestant of the season in Sunday's episode and he will be seen entering the BB house in tonight's (April 19) episode. While he was the most entertaining contestant and a finalist in BB Telugu 3, it remains to be seen how he will change the game now.
