Bigg Boss Telugu 5: Sreerama Chandra becomes the first finalist of the season

Bigg Boss Telugu season 5 has witnessed the unexpected.

In a comprehensive race to finale task that tested the speed, accuracy, skill and focus of the contestants,

Sreerama Chandra

emerged as the first finalist of the ongoing season.

Sreerama Chandra and

Maanas

competed in the last round of the race to finale task where the two had to punch different levels of wood with the help of a weight drawn over a pulley. The contestant whose weight reached the bottom first won the task. When Maanas and Sreerama Chandra were almost on the verge of having a tiebreaker, Maanas’ weight got stuck and eventually Sreerama Chandra won the task.

He was declared the first finalist of the season. While Sreerama Chandra thanked Sunny for playing a few tasks on his behalf and celebrated his victory with Kajal and others, Maanas chose to sit alone.

Prior to this, Maanas, Sreerama Chandra,

Siri

and Sunny participated in the focus challenge. Maanas had been the leading scorer from the word go until he lost to Sreerama Chandra in the last task.
Four more contestants are likely to qualify as the finalists in the upcoming days. The season is expected to conclude on December 19 (Sunday) with a grand gala finale.
