Bigg Boss Telugu 5: Ravi aces the secret task; set to become a captaincy contender

The fight between Bigg Boss Telugu 5 contestants Shailaja Priya, Ravi and Lahari has created a stir on social media. Priya alleged that Lahari is 'busy with all the men in the house' adding that she saw her (Lahari) hugging Ravi at midnight. This sparked a huge fight between Ravi, Priya and Lahari which eventually ended in Priya apologising to Nitya (Ravi's wife) and everyone offended in the issue. But Nitya is very worried now and very rightly so. In an exclusive chat with ETimes TV, Nitya shared why she is worried right now, her views on this season and much more.

So many have been texting me out of love and concern. I’m very thankful but honestly I feel Ravi was unnecessarily dragged into this. The point of Priya telling Ravi about Lahari was not highlighted somehow. Maybe she is not liking Lahari staying away from her.

Hugging is normal in any industry or workplace. Even they are aware that there are cameras around and they are being watched by millions. I've known Ravi in and out for more than 15 years now and as a wife, I trust him like nobody else. Ravi is a content giver and I knew this factor might be exploited, too. Even he prepared me for situations like these.

Priya has been trying to tell Ravi that Lahari is trying to befriend him and when he received my letter, which is a very normal one trying to tell him how proud I was of him, perhaps he was trying to read between the lines and was worried about what is being projected about their equation because Priya has been talking about it from a week or so. Ravi didn't want to presume things and hurt Lahari, too. And even during the nominations, he didn't want to be opportunistic and demean Priya or Lahari despite the allegations against him. I have nothing against Priya or Lahari, too. It's just Ravi became a scapegoat for someone else's issue. Unfortunately what happened is being selectively telecast in the show and this always has its disadvantages.

I and Ravi have battled many rumours and controversies in life. So, my biggest fear when he was entering the show was not the controversies but the fact we have to stay apart. He has never been away from his family for this long. He gets homesick easily. Even during college when we were preparing for the GRE exam, we were more bothered about how to manage if one of us gets to go to the US first. And now with Viyu around, I'm sure he must be missing us a lot.

I'm keeping Viyu diverted constantly because I know she will cry the moment she sees Ravi on TV. She's missing him but we've been telling her that we'll go to Maldives when dada (Ravi) returns home from shooting. So, she wants her dada to come home soon so that we all can go to Maldives (laughs).

Also, I can't show her this content. My friends and families who like watching Ravi on TV have been telling me the same. I'm watching every episode and I somehow find this season very aggressive. I can't sleep for 2-3 hours. As an adult, if I can get affected so much, there is no way I can let my daughter watch this. It's sad that families can't watch this content with their families.

This is a reality show and it's hard to predict anything. So I don't know how far Ravi will make it in this show. Popularity can get you into the show but performance matters. As everyone knows, he is a pure entertainer and people love him for that.
