Bigg Boss Telugu 3: Promising contestants who disappointed this season

Bigg Boss Telugu season 3 had an all-celebrity line-up and biggies like Hema roped in this season. With the much-awaited grand finale a few days to go, here’s a quick look at some of the promising contestants who disappointed the viewers.

Hema is a popular actress-turned-politician who doesn’t shy away to call a spade a spade. Expectations were sky-high on her; thanks to her active and controversial stint in the Movie Artists Association (MAA) elections. She was expected to create a stir in the Bigg Boss house as well. However, she received flak for her tiff with Rahul and Ali regarding the kitchen duties and she got dramatically evicted in the very first week.

Jaffar Babu is one of the most popular journalists who is often trolled on the internet. He shot to fame with his controversial interviews on the internet with celebrities across all walks of life. However, viewers got to see a stark difference between his on-screen and off-screen persona.

Besides his funny conversations with Baba Bhaskar, his voice wasn’t heard in the house especially during the fight between Ali Reza and Tamanna Simhadri. He opted out of few tasks as well owing to his public image. Before he could shed his reservations and unveil his other side, he got eliminated from the show.

The popular comedienne was expected to be one of the best entertainers in the house. In her post-eviction interview with TimesofIndia.com, she claimed to have created so much fun in the house and even her co-contestants confirmed the same. But, the viewers haven’t got to see much of Rohini’s talent in the show. She got dramatically nominated by Bigg Boss for allegedly discussing nominations with Siva Jyothi during the task and she got eliminated that week.

Internet sensation Ashu Reddy is popular for her lip-sync videos. One of her videos with Pradeep Machiraju went viral too. This millennial was expected to spill her magic in the house as well. However, she took her own sweet time to read the game, gel with the inmates and make her presence felt in the house. As a result, she had to pay the price and get eliminated soon after Rohini.

She was the first transgender contestant in the Bigg Boss Telugu TV series. She indeed took Bigg Boss fandom by surprise with her entry as the first wildcard contestant of the season. She was popular for her provocative game. However, she received flak for her personal attack on Ali Reza, Ravikrishna and fights with the housemates. Rumour mill has it that even a few transgender communities were unhappy with her behaviour in the house and wanted her eliminated from the show.

Popular TV host Shilpa Chakravarthy made her TV comeback with Bigg Boss Telugu season 3 right when the viewers were expecting yet another sensational wildcard entry into the house. Despite the challenges as a wildcard contestant, she was seen giving her best in the Dongaludochina Nagari, one of the most controversial physical tasks of the season and eventually got eliminated in just two weeks of her stay in the house. Her brief stint in the house in a way affected further wildcard entries, as per sources close to the show.

The popular TV actor is considered to be one of the nicest and luckiest contestants in the house. He had his share of differences and fights with co-contestants but he was often criticised for not voicing out his opinion and taking a strong stance when needed. Given his performance in the physical tasks, Ravikrishna was expected to survive for a little longer in the house. However, he reportedly fell short of enough votes for the same.

The actress was one of the first contestants to make some noise in the house. She eventually emerged to be one of the promising contestants in the house. At a juncture when the show is advancing to the next level, she was expected to give a stiff competition to co-contestants Sreemukhi, Vithika and Punarnavi. But as the show progressed, she got eliminated much before her competitors.
