Television host Manimegalai ties the knot!

Popular VJ Manimegalai, who was in the news recently for having trouble with her family regarding her love life, got married to Hussain today. The young television host had a register marriage with her long time friend Hussain.

While the couple had been in a relationship for quite a while, Manimegalai's parents did not approve of their love and opposed to them getting married. It was also recently reported that she had be beaten up by her parents relatives on this issue. Manimegalai had also denied the above but revealed she was in a relationship and her parents were against it, like most parents would be.

Announcing her marriage on social media, Manimegalai said that she would unable to convince her father and since things got out of hands, she has opted for a sudden register marriage.

Manimegalai made her debut as a television anchor in 2010, with the programme 'Super Hits' on Sun Music. She shot to fame with the show 'Franka Sollatta' on the same channel and soon became one of the leading anchors on television. She hosted popular prime time shows on Sun TV, KTV and Sun Music simultaneously and also did many celebrity interviews. She has also hosted shows with other popualr television personalities including Nisha Krishnan and Anjana Rangan. Manimeghalai's popular TV shows include Franka Sollatta, Freeya Vidu, Hot Seat, OMG, Kollywood Diaries to name a few.
