Muthazhagu premiered in November 2021. The series stars Aashish Chakravarthi, Vaishali Thaniga, and Lakshmi Vasudevan in the lead roles. Shalini Rajan, Sailu Imran, Dhakshana, KPY Sarath, Surjith Ansary, Raj Mohan, and Shobana are in supporting roles.
The serial was written and directed by Prince Emmanuel and P. Selvam. Music composed by Kiran was the cinematography, and editing was done by C. Jaya Kumar, Naveen, Gurumoorthi, and G.Pa Vinoth. The serial is an official remake of the Telugu serial Devatha.
