TV shootings and post production works are reportedly stalled from today (June 19) because of the

lockdown

imposed due to an increase in the number of

COVID-19

cases.

Lockdown is imposed in the 4 districts including Chennai,

Tiruvallur

,

Kanchipuram

and

Chengalpattu

.


Most TV shootings that are concentrated in Chennai and nearby districts are stalled due to the

shutdown

orders. R. K. Selvamani, Head of the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI), confirmed the same.


A few weeks ago,

Tamil Nadu government

permitted TV shootings with just 20 crew members. Later, it was increased to 60 members and shootings have resumed from the second week of June.

A few TV channels have already announced that fresh episodes of the shows will be aired soon. At this juncture, the latest lockdown has brought everything to a standstill.
