Bala Singh, one of the most versatile actors of the Tamil entertainment industry, passed away on Wednesday in Chennai. He was 67.

According to the reports, Bala was suffering from breathlessness and high fever since past few days. He was admitted in a critical condition in the ICU of a private hospital in Chennai.


The entertainment industry is shocked over the demise of the veteran actor. Members of the film fraternity, small screen industry and others have offered their deep condolences.


Bala was a multifaceted talent, who started his career with theatre. Later, he did meaty roles in the television show and films too. He was a close friend of actor Nassar. Bala was featured in the role of an antagonist in the movie

, which was Nassar's directorial venture. Before making his entry in Kollywood, he did movies in Mollywood too. Bala was featured in almost 50 films in Tamil and Mollywood.
