Tamil soap 'Magarasi' completes 700 episodes; team celebrates the milestone

The Tamil television serial 'Magarasi', starring Srithika Saneesh, Aaryaan and Mounika Devi, has completed 700 episodes. The cast and crew of the show, who worked hard to make the show a success, squeezed out some time from their busy shooting schedule and had a gala time together.
The serial premiered on October 21, 2019, and it has crossed the 700th episode recently.The show received wide popularity due to its compelling narrative, strong performances. Interestingly, many of its sequences were shot in picturesque locations in Haridwar and nearby areas. Magarasi also had featured sequences, which are shot in running trains.
So far, the show has seen many major cast and crew changes. The main lead of the show, Divya Sridhar, was replaced by Srithika Saneesh midway. During the pandemic, many actors, including Praveena and Deepan Chakravarthy, were replaced. Yet, the serial topped the TRP charts for the afternoon slot.
Magarasi narrated the story of Divya Sridhar (Bharathi), a Tamil girl in Haridwar. When Bharathi’s own uncle tries to kill her, she escapes from him. While Bharathi tries to self-harm, the male lead, SSR Pankaj (as Puvi), saves her and takes her to his place.
Bharathi grows up longing for love and affection. Puvi’s family based in Chidambaram, welcomes Bharathi as their family’s lucky charm and considers like their daughter-in-law. Bharathi likes the warmth shown by Puvi’s family. But, she is confused about whether to enjoy the love and affection showered by Puvi’s family members.
Besides Srithika (as Bharathi Puviarasan), Magarasi features SSR Aaryann (as Puviarasan), Mounika Devi (as Malliga), Mahalakshmi (as Anbarasi Manohar), Riyaz Khan (as Seendhoorapandian), Ashrita Sreedas (as Ragini Tamizharasan), and others.
