Supernatural thriller Mangalya Dhosham to premiere on March 23

New daily soap Mangalya Dhosham is all set to premiere on March 23. The channel airing the supernatural thriller has confirmed the same with teasers on their official social media handle.
Mangalya Dhosham deals with superstitions around Indian marriage. The story is centered on characters Tarun and Nithyashree. Malar show fame Arun Padmanabhan plays the role of Tarun while Lakshmipriya will be seen as Nithyashree.She is making her acting debut with the show. While Tarun is a rational doctor who believes in science, Nithyashree is a simple and beautiful girl-next-door, who is a staunch believer of Indian traditions and legends. The consequences of their marriage form the crux of the story. It remains to be seen if Nithyashree can save the lives of her husband and unborn child in spite of the flaws in her horoscope.

Talking about his character Tarun, Arun Padmanaban said, “My character in Mangalya Dhosham is that of a well-educated person who takes on people who thrive on the whole idea of ‘Chevvai Dosham’. I know I will be proud of this character when I look back at my life.”
Lakshmi Priya, who portrays the role of Nithyashree, said, “I’m incredibly thrilled to play the role of Nithya, a vibrant and intense character. My role is of a girl who has to go through the agony of being married to a tree is something to think about.”
Mangalya Dhosham airs on weekdays in the prime time slot.
