Nadigar Sangam's celebrity cricket tournament, called Natchathira Cricket, was held yesterday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, in which eight teams took part in the five-over matches. The event was organised to raise funds to construct the new building of Nadigar Sangam.

Sun TV that aired the event live on the channel donated Rs 1, 75, 00, 000 to the South Indian Artist Association and Rs 7, 25, 00, 000 to the Nadigar Sangam toward the end of the tournament.
