The film ‘Chandramukhi 2’, starring Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut will be available on OTT. As per the latest reports, it is to be premiered on October 26 (today).
The comedy horror film stars Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut in the lead roles and also has an ensemble cast including Lakshmi Menon, Vadivelu, Radhika Sarathkumar, Mahima Nambiar, Vignesh, Ravi Mariya, Rao Ramesh, Srushti Dange, Subiksha Krishnan, Shatru, Suresh Chandra Menon, Ayyappa P. Sharma, R. S. Shivaji, Cool Suresh, T. M. Karthik, Mithun Shyam, Rajitha, Manasvi Kottachi, and Y. G. Mahendran in the supporting roles.
The film was written and directed by P. Vasu. Music is composed by M. M. Keeravani. While cinematography and editing are handled by R. D. Rajasekhar, and Anthony respectively.
Chandramukhi 2 was originally released in theatres on September 28. On the first day, The movie was made on a budget of approximately Rs 4.5 crores, as per reports. While the Box Office collection is yet to be out. Furthermore, it made Rs 51 crore in its first week at the domestic box office.
The film was released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada in theatres and now the OTT version will also be available in 5 different languages
The story revolves around Radhika Sarathkumar’s daughter elopes with her husband and earns the wrath of the family. Since hers is an intercaste marriage, there’s no approval from her side. Sadly, due to a freak accident, her daughter and son-in-law died leaving behind two children. Pandian (Raghava Lawrence) is their caretaker.
Radhika’s family have been seeing one tragedy after another in their lives. Hence, a spiritual guru tells them to visit their family deity and perform a pooja. She had to let her grandchildren be part of the pooja as well for it to work. The family comes to Vettaiyapuram palace, which is infamous for its story. It’s where Ganga suffered from split-personality disorder and behaved as Chandramukhi, a dancer. The palace, owned by Vadivelu, is possessed by the ghosts of Chandramukhi and Vettaiyan. What happens to Radhika and her family forms the rest of the story.
