Popular daily soap Karthigai Deepam, which is known for its interesting storyline and adroit star cast, has accomplished another milestone. The popular daily soap has completed 200 episodes. The channel airing the show has confirmed with a special poster. Wishes have been pouring in for the team from fans on social media.
Talking about the show's new milestone, actress Arthika said, "I am proud of being part of such a wonderful serial as Karthigai Deepam, and I am very happy that we are going to reach the 200th episode."

Karthigai Deepam premiered on December 2022. The series stars Karthik Raj and Arthika in the lead role. Rajesh, Tamil Selvi, Meera Krishna, Madhu Mohan, Vichithra, Janani, Deva, Riya Choudhary, Nimesh Sagar, Vandhana Michael, Ayub, VJ Reshmaa, Sathya Sudha, Sri Varshan Chinraj, and Dinesh Gopalsamy in supporting roles.
The story is all about Deepa, a young, dusky girl, who faces discrimination because of her skin colour. However, she is talented and sets out on a journey, to create an identity for herself. She believes that her complexion is akin to Lord Kartikeyan's complexion. Her life changes after marriage when she goes on to make a career in music.
