Tamil television is all set to welcome the dubbed version of a very popular Kannada daily soap. Titled 'Perazhagi 2', which is the Tamil dubbed version of the Kannada TV drama, will premiere soon.
Perazhagi 2 is an official remake of the Kannada TV series 'Lakshana' and was quite popular among the audience.
Perazhagi 2 will be airing on a Tamil general entertainment channel (GEC). The original Kannada version stars, Jaganath.C, Vijayalakshmi, Sukrutha Nag, and Vaishnavi Gowda in the leads roles, alongside Sudha Belawadi, Roycott.S, Bhagyashri Rao, Archana Udupa, Jeevika, Krish, Abhishek Shrikanth, Sara, JK Mysore, Keerthi Bhanu, Deepa Iyer, and Priya Shatasharman are in supporting roles.
The Kannada TV serial is directed by Shivram Magadi while cinematography and editing are handled by Kiran and Manu respectively.
The story revolves around the lives of two girls Nakshatra and Shwetha who are exchanged in the hospital 23 years back by doctor Tulsi. Nakshatra is a dusky girl who works hard to meet the daily expenditures of the family. She has been not accepted as the daughter and granddaughter by her father Thukarama and his mother as she is not fair. He feels that Nakshatra is not his daughter as he and his wife Jaya are fair complexioned and she is in a dark complexion. Nakshatra who dreams of becoming a TV anchor is pushed back as her skin tone will not match the requirements of an anchor. Finally, manages to land a job as RJ where she is only the voice, while Shwetha, is the face of the show. Trouble begins when Bhupathi falls in love with her voice while believing that it's Shwetha's. The way how Nakshatra and Shwetha meet their real parents and how Bhupathi falls in love with Nakshatra from the rest of the story.
On the other hand, the TV channels are ready to treat the audience with a high dose of entertainment ahead with upcoming shows 'Enkitta Modhaade season 3, Ready Steady Po season 2, Yes or No, Thaayamma, Kizhakku Vasal, and Kolangal 2.
