Riyaz Khan is making his comeback into the TV space in a negative role in Magarasi. Earlier, Riyaz Khan impressed the audience with his impressive performance in the popular serial Nandini.
Magarasi is the Tamil remake of the Telugu serial Kanulu Moosina Neevaye.

According to the story, the serial revolves around the Divya Sridhar (Bharathi), a Tamil girl in Haridwar. When Bharathi’s own uncle tries to kill her, she escapes from him. While Bharathi tries to self-harm, the male lead SSR Pankaj (as Puvi) saves her and takes to his place.
Bharathi grows up longing for love and affection. Puvi’s family based in Chidambaram welcomes Bharathi as their family’s lucky charm and considers like their daughter-in-law. Bharathi likes the warmth shown by Puvi’s family. But, she is confused about whether to enjoy love and affection showered from Puvi’s family members.
The serial Magarasi is shot in picturesque locations in Haridwar and nearby areas.
Magarasi also features sequences, which are shot in running trains.
Magarasi will air on weekdays in the afternoon slot.
