Naalaya Iyakkunar bags National Awards

Out of the seven awards bagged by the Tamil film industry in the 62nd National Awards, two have been bagged by participants of the Nalaya Iyakkunar programme, telecast on Sundays on Kalaignar TV. The show is aimed at creating a platform for those aspiring to become the next generation directors. The talent hunt that has completed five seasons, has introduced many film actors, directors and editors to the industry.The film, Jigarthanda that bagged two awards, is directed by Karthik Subburaj and the editor of the film, Vivek Harshan and actor Bobby Simha, all finds of Nalaya Iyakkunar.
