and others. The reports suggest that director Thirumurgan is all set to launch his new TV serial.

The actor-turned-director was last seen appearing in the Tamil daily soap Kalyana Veedu in 2020. After a gap of two years, the director has signed for an upcoming Tamil daily soap for the channel on which his serials were aired since 1998.

The makers are in search of a fresh female face. They are currently busy with the auditions.

Thirumurgan is a popular Tamil director, who received wide popularity for his daily soap 'Metti Oli'. He had also played the role of '

Gopikrishnan

', which had also brought him popularity as an actor.

Thirumurugan went on to direct Nadhaswaram, followed by, Then Nilavu, Kula Deivam, and Kalyana Veedu. He was often seen appearing as' Gopikrishnan 'in these serials, which sparked debates on social media.

Guinness World Record

for directing the longest continuous TV camera shot in the daily soap Nadhaswaram. This shot lasts for 23 minutes 25 seconds.

On the film front, the director directed Emtan Magan, a blockbuster hit in 2006 that earned Thirumurugan the Tamil Nadu State Award for Best Director.
