#MeToo

movement. Ex-Bigg Boss Tamil 2 contestants Janani and Bhalajie participated in an event in Salem recently.


Commenting on the #MeToo movement at a recent event, Janani said that it is a welcoming change to see so many women voicing out their stories. She added that sexual harassment is an omnipresent issue. On this note, she opined that it would be helpful to address the issue and instill fear in the perpetrators if the victims voice out their stories of sexual abuse immediately. Janani also urged not to misuse the #MeToo movement.


Meanwhile, Bhalajie has contrary views. Bhalajie stated that it has become a trend to share stories through #MeToo and in most cases, this backfires and brings blemish to the victim and her family members. He advised women to act responsibly without troubling their families and others.
