Kodeeswari: Lesser Known facts about the Radhikaa-hosted show

Kodeeswari is one of the most anticipated non-fictions shows of the season. The all-women show is all set to premiere tonight (December 23) at 8pm. Ahead of the premiere, here’s a look at the lesser known facts about the Radhikaa Sarathkumar-hosted show.

Kodeeswari is being extensively promoted as the first-of-its-kind women-centric game show which is expected to give all the women contestants an opportunity to drive their dreams forward with their knowledge.

Eminent actress and TV personality is reportedly the first Asian woman to host the format show. Earlier, Neengalam Vellalam Oru Kodi, the Tamil version of KBC, was hosted by actors Suriya Sivakumar, Prakash Raj and Arvind Swamy.

The show is abuzz much ahead of its premiere. Over 3000 interested women have reportedly auditioned for the show to try their luck on the Radhikaa-hosted game show.

In this Tamil version of Kaun Banega Crorepati, each participant eligible to the hot seat through the fastest finger round has to face 15 questions to win the prize money accordingly.

There is no change in the maximum prize money the contestant can win in Kodeeswari. Each contestant can win prize money ranging from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1 crore.

The contestants can avail a maximum of 4 lifelines - 50-50, Audience Poll, Ask the Expert and Flip – to advance in the game. In Kodeeswari, the computer is named ‘Kanmani’.

Kodeeswari game show will premiere tonight (December 23) and air on weekdays at 8 PM. Going by the initial schedule, Kodeeswari is expected to be air for 8 weeks (40 episodes) approximately, as per sources.
