From Bharathi Kannamma to Vanathai Pola: Major changes in the cast of these shows cause a drastic fall in TRPs

Replacements may be common on television, but there are some actors who have never been replaced. At times, actors quit the show themselves or have creative differences with the makers and are replaced by another actor.

Radhika Preethi's announcement of quitting the popular TV show Poove Unakkage came as a huge shock to the audience. The replacement of character Poovarasi, the main lead of the show, showed a drastic change in terms of TRP.

Nandhita Jenifer, who essayed the character of Radhika, announced her walkout from the TV serial as her character underwent a shocking change. The actress revealed that Radika would have negative shade in the following episodes. Though Reshma Pasupuleti replaced her. But the change affected the TRPs.

Within a short span after the series was launched, Vanathai Pola had reached the heights. The on-screen sister-brother bonding between Swetha Khelge and Thaman received appreciation from the TV audience. It all went topsy turvy when both actors decided to walk out midway. After the long break, the serial has managed to bag the second position in recent weeks.

Bharathi Kannamma was topping the TRP charts during the episodes where Kannamma was walking out of the house. The serial was also a sensation among fans. But nothing was the same when major cast members like Roshini Haripriyan, Kanmani Manoharan were replaced. The series fell out of the top five positions on the TRP charts.
