Farina Azad to Alya Manasa: Tamil TV actresses who worked through their pregnancies

With a display of utmost professionalism, these leading ladies of the Tamil TV industry have worked throughout their pregnancies to entertain the telly audiences with their shows.

'Venba' aka Farina Azad, had never quit showing up for the shoots, even during critical times. She had not taken a break after learning about her pregnancy and had been shooting until the seventh month. Even after the delivery, the actress was seen appearing in various new roles, like Bhavani in the Tamil daily soap Abhi Tailor.

Actress Jennifer and her hubby, Kasi Visvanathan, were blessed with their second child, a baby boy, in November 2021. During her pregnancy, she was busy acting in TV shows like Amman (as Sharada) and Baakiyalakshmi (as Radhika). The actress revealed her baby bump around September on her Instagram, captioned,'First came love, then came you."

The actress is popularly known for portraying negative characters. Shamili was roped in to play a negative role in the Tamil serial 'Roja'. It is during her third trimester, the actress revealed that she quit the show due to her pregnancy.

The popular actress Alya Manasa was playing Semba till her last trimester. Initially, Alya dismissed the rumours and insisted that she will continue to act in the show. But later, it was confirmed that the actress was indeed leaving the show. She was replaced with another actress Riya in Raja Rani 2
