Actor Dinesh Gopalasamy, who was previously seen playing the role of Karthik in the popular daily soap 'Pirivom Sandhippom' and later acted in 'Poove Poochudava', has now joined the cast of another popular show, Kizhakuvasal.
A source close to the show told ETimes TV, "Dinesh Gopalasamy has been approached to play an important role in the show. He will be seen in a grey-shade role. He will play the role of Siva, who will be a street gangster. With his entry, audiences will see more drama in the show."
Speaking about the new appearance in the show actor Dinesh Gopalasamy said, "I am excited to join in the super hit show Kizhakuvasal. After a long time, I'll be playing a native role. Earlier in both of my shows, I essayed a positive or lead role. I'm excited to play a role as a street gangster and also I'm happy with the way my audiences are enjoying my work. I wish to keep them all entertained. I hope they support me in my new journey with Kizhakuvasal.
On the career front, Dinesh Gopalasamy made his debut with the Tamil TV show 'Mahan' which was aired in 2010. The actor rose to famous in role of Karthik in the popular daily soap Pirivom Sandhippom. He also acted in various other series like Puthu Kavithai, Poove Poochudava, Sembaruthi, Nachiyarpuram, Eeramana Rojave 2, and Karthigai Deepam.
The TV show Kizhakuvasal premiered in April 2023. The serial stars Reshma Muralitharan and Venkat Ranganathan in the lead roles and also has an ensemble cast including Radhika Sarathkumar and director S.A. Chandrasekar as the supporting cast.
The story revolves around a Thaayamma (Radhika Sarathkumar), a poor orphan, who leads an isolated life in a village. An influential person from the village tries to take advantage of her poverty and molest her. However, she manages to escape from his clutches. She meets Ponnurangam and they fall in love with each other. But Selvi, a rich woman, falls in love with Ponnurangam and proposes to him. But he rejects her proposal and decides to marry Thaayamma. What happens to Selvi is the rest of the story plot.
