Bigg Boss Ultimate contestant Anitha Sampath: From sharing about her troubled childhood to losing cool over Aari Arjunan, a glance at her Bigg Boss journey

In the recently released promo, it was confirmed that news reader Anitha Sampath will be entering the Bigg Boss Ultimate House as the seventh contestant. She had already been a participant in Bigg Boss Tamil 4 and stayed in the house till the 84th day.

Here is a look into the journey of Anitha Sampath in the BB house.

Just two days after the launch of Bigg Boss season 4, the first fight of the season broke out between Anitha Sampath and Suresh Chakravarthy. Being a newscaster by profession, her housemates requested her to make a presentation about the show. During the presentation, Anitha indirectly mocked Suresh Chakravathy.

Though the latter seemed to enjoy the act thoroughly, it sparked a heated debate when Suresh Chakravarthy commented on the news reader. Offended by his comment, Anitha Sampath accused Suresh of defaming the news readers.

In the task of ‘Kandanthu Vantha Pathai’, Anitha Sampath spoke about her childhood and all the struggles she had to face. The housemates got emotional hearing her story. The newscaster shared that she learned many things during her struggle. "Middle-class people are the luckiest. Because they understand the struggles of life in a better manner and sail through them in a better way. Get married if you are comfortable. Don’t ever trouble your parents during the marriage, as they will end up in a lot more financial trouble," she added.

During a task, actor Aari was asked to choose the most demotivated contestant in the house. He said he would name Anitha Sampath. While explaining why, he took up the names of Anitha’s parents and her husband’s. Irked by this, she told Aari to not bring their names. He also sarcastically asked her if she did not know while coming inside the house that she would not be meeting her family. Anitha was further infuriated by this and yelled at him for taking up their name.

People’s support for Anitha saw many ups and downs, yet she managed to stay in the house for more than 12 weeks. In the post eviction discussion, host Kamal Haasan advised that good and bad things aren’t thrust upon us by others. It is our actions that determine our lives. Anitha said that she didn’t expect to stay so long in the house. She was thinking of getting evicted in two weeks.

Within a few days of getting evicted from the house, Anitha’s father passed away. In her Instagram post, the new reader shared that the last time she saw her dad was before being quarantined by Big Boss.

Anitha also appeared inside the house within a month of her father’s demise. The contestants were seen hugging her and consoling her.
