​Bigg Boss Tamil: From Bava Chelladurai to Oviya, popular contestants who quit the reality show midway​

Bava Chelladurai has recently quit Bigg Boss Tamil 7 midway which created a lot of noise on social media. He is not the only contestant to make an exit. Here's a quick look at the contestants who called it quits due to various reasons. Take a look:

During the task, Bava Chelladurai experienced chest pain and had a word with Bigg Boss, where he expressed his wish to exit the show. After giving him counselling and time to think, Bava reiterated that he wanted to leave the show. Later he exited the show through the confession room.

GP Muthu has officially walked out of the Bigg Boss 6 house on October 22, 2022. He said he was feeling homesick and wanted to be at home with his kids. Bigg Boss eventually accepted GP's request and let him walk out.

Noted actor Saravanan was ousted from Bigg Boss Season 3 after his confession to host Kamal Haasan earned much flak. When Kamal was trying to sort out an issue between Meera and Cheran citing how women get troubled by men in a lot of ways, including getting molested while travelling in a bus, Saravanan added that he, too, had done it when he was in college. With the show facing the public’s wrath, Saravanan was called inside the confession room the next day (July 29th episode), where he apologised for his statement. However, in the episode on August 5, Bigg Boss called Saravanan into the confession room and mentioned that the team will not take this incident lightly and will not tolerate any misbehaviour towards women. Soon after this, Saravanan was directly evicted from the BB house.

Madhumitha was evicted from the Bigg Boss Tamil season 3 on August 17 for indulging in self harm which is a violation of the rules of the show. In her post-eviction talk, Madhumitha said that she resorted to self-harm to prove her point to the housemates in an argument over a controversial issue that she had been experiencing since childhood. Host Kamal Haasan opined that irrespective of the issue and her views, Madhumitha has set a bad example by causing self harm. Her eviction has evoked mixed responses from netizens as well.

In Bigg Boss Season one, Bharani tried to escape from the BB house by attempting to jump over the barbed BB compound wall. After Ganja Karapu was evicted from the Bigg Boss house, the housemates started to avoid Bharani, whom they expected to get evicted. Gayathri tries to convince the housemates to make an appeal to Bigg Boss about Bharani, further alleging that Bharani has a history with women and hence she doesn't feel safe. Meanwhile, Bharani appeals to Bigg Boss to let him out of the house. A frustrated Bharani tries to escape from the house by jumping over the wall. He is then sent out of the house for not following the rules of the house and trying to escape.

Bigg Boss Tamil season 1 contestant Oviya Helen quit the show due to medical reasons on Friday evening after having to fight with Arav, her crush in the show. She was vocal about her feelings for him but the latter did not reciprocate as expected. On Day 41 of the season, Oviya said that she badly wants to get out of the house. She made frequent visits to the confession room to share her feelings and looked confused about staying back or leaving the house. She decided to quit the show the next day.
