Bigg Boss Tamil 3: A look at Saravanan’s journey in the show

Bigg Boss Tamil season 3 is in its seventh week. Actor Saravanan was evicted from the BB house following a controversy. Earlier, he had proudly confessed about groping women in the crowded bus. Saravanan was evicted from the show on August 5.

Let’s have a look at his journey in the Bigg Boss house.

Saravanan, aged 52, is one of the most popular actors, who was quite excited about Bigg Boss. During the introductory session, Saravanan said that he is participating in the show for his son. Actor Ganja Karuppu accompanied Saravanan during his entry to the Bigg Boss house.

Saravanan was a quite bold and straight forwarded contestant. He was not hesitant to express his points of view.

Though Saravanan was the most outspoken contestants, he didn’t speak much in the house. He used to speak or reply in just 2 or 3 words. On multiple occasions, Kamal commented on this.

Saravanan was a great cook. He has surprised the housemates with his culinary expertise. During one of the tasks, he shared how much he enjoys cooking for the housemates.

Saravanan was quite senior among the contestants. After the eviction of Fathima Babu (aged 50) and Mohan Vaidya (aged 60), Saravanan was considered as a father figure in the house. Many housemates fondly addressed Saravanan as Anna (Brother) and Chithappa / Chithappu (uncle). During her birthday, Madhumitha touched Saravanan and Cheran’s feet and took their blessings. He used to give suggestions to the other housemates too.

Saravanan was never hesitant to raise his voice in the time of need. When Meera Mithun alleged Cheran of manhandling her, Saravanan raised his voice.

Ever since he entered the house, Saravanan and Cheran had a cold war with each other. Their cold war reached a high point during the nomination of least the performers in the Podu Aattam Podu task. Saravanan was left offended when Cheran addressed him using words Nee, Da (disrespectful way of addressing people).

During the weekend analysis show, the host Kamal Haasan about the issue raised by Meera Mithun alleging Cheran of manhandling her. Kamal shared how women have to face issues while troubling in a crowded bus. Some people rush to the office while some travel only to molest women. Saravanan interfered and confessed how he used to travel by bus during his college days only to grope women. The audience lauded for him while the incident stirred controversy.

The confession made by Saravanan received huge criticism of the female audience and the public at large. On July 29, Saravanan apologised for his earlier comments and confession about molesting women. Yesterday (August 5) Bigg Boss summoned Saravanan into the confession room. Bigg Boss said that the channel and the BB team wouldn’t take any demeaning comments concerning women lightly. Hence, Saravanan was evicted from the house on a bitter note.

He was considered as a tough contestant. During the nomination process for the seventh week held on August 5, Mugen Rao nominated Saravanan for being a tough contestant. Mugen said he (Saravanan) is good at negotiation and easily handles any situations.
