Bigg Boss Tamil 2 written update, July 9, 2018: Ponnambalam gets jailed

In the latest episode of Bigg Boss Tamil season 2, majority of the inmates came forward to support Ponnambalam and vouch for him. Regarding this, a long discussion took place among the housemates.
Daniel asked, why no one objected to the intimate acts in the house since beginning. Riythvika said, earlier it seemed to be mutual. But after discussing with Kamal Haasan the housemates started to sense that, audience do not like such intimate acts happening in the house.
Ponnambalam said, when the inmates pinpointed his mistake of using foul language, he apologised immediately. But, he didn’t reveal anything about the ‘nasty acts’ happening in the house.
Ponnambalam called Shariq and tried to talk about the issue. Ponnambalam added, he know Shariq’s dad Riyaz Khan for years. He would speak with Riyaz and check whether he would be comfortable with such intimate acts in his presence.
Finally, Ponnambalam said, he is ready to go to the jail.
Bigg Boss announced that, Ponnambalam should stay in jail until further announcement. Only during restroom requirements, the lock can be opened. One after the other inmate volunteered to go into the jail, in place of Ponnambalam.
Vaishnavi and all other inmates requested Bigg Boss to reconsider the decision.
In the meantime, Yashika and Aishwarya confessed on camera they too have committed some mistakes. But they never wanted Ponnambalam to be jailed. They are ready to go to the jail for their mistake.
Riythvika suggests Ponnambalam to stay in the jail adding that the viewers are the best judge.
Bigg Boss announced that, as captain of the house, Vaishnavi should ensure Ponnambalam is jailed or else it would affect the luxury budget points.
Finally, Vaishnavi locked Ponnambalam into the jail. Bhalajie, Nithya and Sendrayan opined that they should have sacrificed their luxury points instead of sending him to the jail.
Finally, during forenoon Ponnambalam was relieved from jail. The housemates celebrated the moment.
Bigg Boss announced that, the captaincy of Vaishnavi has come to an end. It is time to select next captain. All the inmates were allowed to participate in this week’s competition to become captain. The task was to hold the maximum level of water in the glass bowl.
Bigg Boss announced Ramya won in the task and she became the captain of the house.
Ramya divided the inmates into different teams. Shariq, Ponnambalam, and Riythvika were declared as members of cooking team. Bhalajie, Aishwarya and Vaishnavi were announced as members of cleaning team. Mahat, Nithya and Yashika were asked to take care of the vessel washing duties.
Nomination process for the week began. Bigg Boss called the inmates in batches into confession room and asked to nominate one person from their batch in front of them.
Firstly, Yashika, Aishwarya and Mahat were called into confession room. Yashika was nominated from their batch.
Finally, from different batches, Nithya, Bhalajie, Yashika and Ponnambalam were nominated for elimination this week.
Bhalajie confessed on camera that, he is trying to reduce his anger following Kamal Haasan’s advice.
