Akshayaa VJ makes her acting debut with Roja; details inside

VJ-turned-actress Akshayaa is all set to entertain the audience in a new avatar. She is making her acting debut in the popular show Roja and she is quite elated about it. Akshayaa shared the good news with fans on social media.
Akshayaa replaces Shamili Sukumar in the role of Anu in the show Roja. The episodes featuring Akshayaa as Anu are on air.
An excited Akshayaa wrote, “For the first time EVER, with all your love and support, I have debuted the most challenging negative role as #Anu in ROJA serial.
Need your heartfelt wishes and love for me to excel and fullfil the character which I have taken up.

As Roja is one of the most viewed Tamil shows, fans are thrilled about her acting debut in the show.
Shamili Sukumar was seen as Anu until this June. Shamili announced pregnancy on Mother’s Day (May 9). Eventually, Shamili announced her exit from the show in June.
Akshayaa is popular for hosting shows like Hitlist, Semma Morning and Vanakkam Tamizha.
Besides Akshaya as Anu, Roja features Sibbu Suryan (as Arjun), Priyanka Nalkari (as Roja) and many others.
