’, has resumed shooting for the show. She took to her social media handle to share the latest progress of her show. The actress shared, all the necessary precautions have been taken while shooting amid COVID-19 outbreak.
On sharing a group picture of the artists of the show, Radikaa wrote, '#chithi2 and the show goes on. We had to replace actors who are down with health issues. Taken all necessary precautions and being safe is important. Soon on #primetime (Sic)”
According to the latest reports, Ponvannan, who played the role of
Shanmugapriyan
is being replaced by actor
Nizhalgal Ravi.
Ponvannan is leaving the show due to some personal reasons, industry sources suggest. Besides this,
Tamil Kadavul Murugan actress
Jeyalakshmi
replaces Shilpa Mary Teresa in the role of Lakshmi Gomathinayagam,
Gaythri Yuvaraaj
replaces Nikhila Rao in Nandhini Anbuselvan's role and Meera Krishna replaces Srisha Sougandh in the role of Mallika Raj.
Chithi 2 features Radikaa Sarathkumar (as

In the first week of June, the state government gave relaxation to resume shoots with 60 crew members (per unit). This relief was on for a few weeks before a complete lockdown was imposed in many districts of Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram and Chengalpet.
After securing all necessary precautionary measures on the shooting sets and the other logistical arrangements, the shoot of Chithi 2 has resumed from today. Fans are eagerly waiting for the fresh episodes of the show, which will go air soon.
