The newly launched
Namma Madurai Sisters
enjoy a good fan following for their storyline and interesting narration. Now the makers have made an important change to the star cast.
Harishankar, who plays the character
Sivakumar, has been replaced by actor Venkatesh.
After Indhrani (essayed by actor Chaya Singh) wins the market elections, Raja Manikam loses the challenge and needs to send one of his sons as a labourer to Annam Angadi, which was owned by the
Madurai
sisters. Instead of Sivakumar, the elder son, the younger one,
Nandha, volunteers to go instead. He sees this opportunity as a chance to impress Kaviya.
In the recent episodes, Nandha was seen joining the annam angadi to impress Kavya (
Ira Agarwal
). Nandha enters the showroom in a glitzy ensemble. But Indhrani orders him to wear the uniform like other employees. Later, he was also ordered to do hard labour. Will he be successful in winning the heart of Kaviya? And the concern of both the rival families forms the crux of the story.
Set in the backdrop of Madurai, ‘Namma Madurai Sisters’ revolves around the lives of four sisters, each with distinctive characteristics. Packed with action, drama, and love, the show narrates the life of Indrani , who is laden with family responsibilities at a young age after they lose their parents.
In her pursuit to avenge the death of her parents and to protect her sisters, Indrani grows from a young, naiive town belle to a resilient woman. The story also captures the journey of the three younger sisters, Meghala (actor Sunitha), Bhuvana (Sankavi), and Kavya (Ira Agarwal) in an engrossing plotline. Television actor Deepak Kumar plays the male protagonist opposite actor Ira Agarwal.
Venkatesh had earlier appeared in daily soaps like Chithiram Pesuthadi as Murali, Peranbu as Sundar. Harishankar made his debut in the Tamil daily soap Mangalya Sandhosham as Damodharan. He also appeared in many short films.
