Marathi and Hindi veteran actress Seema Deo passed away today (August 24) due to age-related illness. The actress was living with her son, Abhinay Deo, at his house in Bandra. Seema was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Seema's husband and actor Ramesh Deo passed away at the age of 93 last year, in 2022.
Marathi actress Seema Deo, who made a mark in the Marathi and Hindi entertainment industries with her amazing acting skills, passed away today, (August 24). She was 81 years old. Seema has always entertained the audience with remarkable work in Marathi and Hindi cinema. She has acted in nearly 80 Hindi and Marathi films.
Seema health issues
According to the reports, Seema has been unwell due to age-related issues for the last year. She was also diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Seema has been living with her son, Abhinay Dev, in Bandra, Mumbai. Abhinay is also working as a director in the entertainment industry. Seema's body will be cremated at Shivaji Park Crematorium on Thursday at 4 p.m.
The entire Marathi industry is in deep grief after learning about Seema's death and extended grief over the loss.
Ashwini is in grief
Actress Ashwini Bhave posted a black-and-white picture of the late actress on Instagram and penned a heartfelt note. Ashwini wrote, "Very sad to hear the news of Seema Tai's demise. I was very inspired by Seematai's beautiful on-screen looks and her effortless acting at such a young age. By properly balancing business and family responsibilities, she gave women artists a reputation and ruled the hearts of people with iconic roles. She played all the roles in a woman's life. She loved Ramesh Kaka, her children, and her grandchildren immensely. Seema Tai truly lived a perfect life. I pray to God to give strength to Ajinkya, Abhinay, and their family to bear this immense pain, and may the soul rest in peace. Om Shanti!! ��"
Seema's demise has left a void in the world of cinema. Her journey in the entertainment world began at a young age, and she quickly became a prominent face in both Marathi and Hindi cinema.
Seema was born in Girgaon, Mumbai. She was married to actor Ramesh Deo, who also passed away in 2022. She is survived by two children, actor Ajinkya Deo and director Abhinay Deo.
