Usha Nadkarni, born on 13th September 1946, is known for her blunt nature. She was born in Karnataka and took her education from there.
She started her acting career in 1979 as Shanta in the movie Sinhasan. Before that, she was working with BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) and then with Dena Bank.

She gave her first stage performance when she was in 4th standard.
She was seen in many popular Bollywood movies like Vaastav, Gundaraj, Rustom, Great Grandmasti, etc. Also, she has featured in Marathi movies like Deool, Ventilator, Yellow, Maherchi Saadi and many more.
She is popularly known for her role of an evil mother-in-law in the movie Maherchi Saadi. Usha's role as 'Savita Deshmukh' in Hindi show Pavitra Rishta was so prominent that she won several awards for it.
She is the senior most contestant of all the Bigg Boss seasons.
