Swapnalee Patil: I am excited to enjoy a traditional Gudi Padwa meal to be made by Aastad tonight

After a low-key wedding on February 14 this year, Aastad Kale and Swapnalee Patil are celebrating their first Gudi Padwa as a married couple today. In fact, the 'Saraswati' actor Aastad tells us that he is celebrating Gudi Padwa for the first time in his life. Thus, the actor is going all out to make it special for his wife and himself.“Swapnalee loves to celebrate this festival; I just want to add to her happiness. I have no idea about the rituals, as I’ve never celebrated before, but she is guiding me well. In fact, she did all the basic preparations last night,” he shares.Aastad tells us that he has planned a special dinner date for Swapnalee tonight. “When she returns from work today, I want to treat her with a heartwarming meal at home. And that will be the befitting conclusion to our first ever celebration of Gudi Padwa together, with the wish for many more to come,” he says.Though Swapnalee is working today, she has briefed Aastad on how to go about prepping for the festivities. “I am actually shooting today as there is a possibility that shoots might be halted soon, because of the rising COVID-19 cases. Aastad, however, has followed all my instructions perfectly – be it on how to make the gudi or the prep for naivedya,” says she, adding, “He is a wonderful cook, so I am more than happy about him taking over the kitchen completely today. I am excited to enjoy a traditional Gudi Padwa meal tonight."
