Actor Sumeet Pusavale who is essaying a character of Balumama in the serial Balumamachya Navan Chang Bhala has impressed audience with his performance.
As a result, he also gets many calls from cities like Nagpur, Beed, Nashik and many more. There are many people who come to meet him on set too. recently a group of senior citizens had visited the set just to meet him.
The character is religious and preparation for it was not easy. Sharing about it with Times group Sumeet tells, "Essaying a person is a responsibility. I had to prepare a lot for the show. To understand the person, I read a lot about Balumama. there are many movies on him I also saw them all. Also, director Santosh Aychit helping and guiding me a lot in the process."
Essaying the character is quit challenging and Sumeet says, "In the show my language is important. I am from western Maharashtra and Balumama whose character I am playing has done lot of work in the region. Here my language helped me a lot. Audience acceptance was a big question for me in the serial but the way I am getting the response is very nice. The positive response is giving me motivation to work harder."
The pandemic situation has changed many things on set and each actor has to take extra precautions. Sharing about it he says, "We are following rules shared by the government. There are less people on set and it has increased the work for everyone. Previously during break we used to do lots of fun but we have to be cautious all the time."
