Stavan Shinde to play Shiva Kashid in 'Jai Bhavani Jai Shivaji'

Popular Marathi TV actor Stavan Shinde is all set to play the role of Shiva Kashid in the show 'Jai Bhavani Jai Shivaji'. The actor shared his experience of playing the iconic role on-screen adding that he feels very 'fortunate'.
Commenting on his role in Jai Bhavani Jai Shivaji, actor Satwan said, "I am very grateful to the channel for this opportunity. Audiences have seen me in shows like Agnihotra 2 and Tumcha Aamcha Same Asta.Now, I'm happy to be associated with the channel again with Jai Bhavani Jai Shivaji. We have heard about the valoury of Shiva Kashid. The viewers will get a chance to experience Shiva Kashid's timeless journey and priceless sacrifice through the show. I am very much looking forward to this new role. I had learned horse riding when I was a child and it is helping me portray Shiva Kashid better. I am also reading a few historical books to get under the skin of the character."
For the unversed, Shiva Kashid was a helper of Shivaji Maharaj. Shiva Kashid helped Shivaji Maharaj escape from the siege of Panhala. Shivaji Maharaj was stuck at Panhala fort as Siddhi Jauhar's army had laid the siege. Shiva Kashid then volunteered to get dressed as Shivaji Maharaj and successfully misled Siddhi Jauhar.
Earlier, Dakkhancha Raja Jyotiba fame Vishhal Nikam was playing the role of Shiva Kashid. He quit the show mid-way to take part in Bigg Boss Marathi season 3.
In Jai Bhavani Jai Shivaji, Ajinkkya Deo is playing Bajiprabhu Deshpande while Kashyap Parulekar is essaying the role of Netaji Palkar. Bhushan Pradhan is seen as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
