Senior actor Sharad Ponkshe, who has been playing the role of Vinayak in the show Thipkyanchi Rangoli, is all set to bid adieu to the show. The actor recently released a video on Instagram and informed his fans that he has decided to leave the show due to his busy schedule and other projects that he has.
Sharad also revealed that renowned actor Uday Tikekar will replace him in the show, and now he will be seen playing the role of Vinayak in the upcoming episodes.
Sharad shared the video and wrote, "ठीपक्यांची रांगोळी मालिकेतील विनायक कानिटकर म्हणजेच अभिनेते @sharadponkshe यांची विनायक ही व्यक्तिरेखा यापुढे अभिनेते @udaytikekar साकारणार आहेत. तुमच्या आवडत्या मालिकेतील या व्यक्तिरेखेवर असलेलं तुमचं प्रेम या बदलाने अजिबात कमी होणार नाही याची आम्हाला खात्री आहे आणि म्हणूनच श्री उदय टिकेकर यांचे आपण मनापासून स्वागत करूया! ‘ठिपक्यांची रांगोळी’ सोम-शनि रा. १०:०० वा. In the video, Sharad said, "You have showered so much love for my character Vinayak in the show Thipkyanchi Rangoli, but now, due to some other projects, I am quitting the show. But my very good friend and brilliant actor, Uday Tikekar, is now going to play the role of Vinayak in the show. I am so happy, and I wish the best to him and the show."
Sharad was part of the show for 500 episodes and entertained the viewers for two years. His character was popular among all. His dialogues, too, became famous in a short period of time.
Talking about Uday Tikekar, he will be seen on Marathi TV after a gap of several years as he was active in Hindi shows.
