Veteran Marathi actor and filmmaker Ravindra Mahajani, who entertained the audience with his superhit Marathi films during the era of 1975 to 1990, passed away. He had been living alone in Pune's Aambe village in Maval district for the past eight months, and Police reportedly found his body in the flat today (15 July) early in the morning. He was 77 year old. Many actors in the Marathi industry are mourning the sad demise of the renowned actor and sharing their grief on social media.

Actor Atul Todankar shared an old picture of Ravindraji and wrote, "Bhavpurna Shraddhanjali. The most iconic actor of the Marathi film industry."

Utkarsh Shinde too mourned the sad demise of Ravindra Mahajani and posted a few black-and-white pictures of him.

On the work front, he was known for his films Saat Hindustani, Aram Haram Aahe, Haldi Kunku, Gondhalat Gondhal, Mumbaicha Faujdar, and more.

According to the police reports, Ravindra Mahajani used to live alone at a house in the Talegaon area. Meanwhile, the door of his house had been closed for the last two or three days, and neighbors became suspicious as there was no movement in the house. Neighbors informed the police that the door of Ravindra Mahajani's house had been closed for some days. After that, the police immediately rushed to his house and broke the door. After the inspection, the dead body of Ravindra Mahajani was found near the bathroom.

He was the father of actor Gashmeer Mahajani.
