recently wrapped its journey of season 2. The show aired its finale episode and actor
Prithvik Pratap emerged as the winner of this popular series.
Prithvik had started acting during his college days and used to be a part of the college theatre group. He would play some supporting roles in the one-act competitions. But now, the actor has come a long way in the Marathi industry.
While talking to TimesofIndia.com the actor opened up about how he began his career. He said, “I started acting during my college days. But, due to the financial crisis, I had to take up a job. So I started working in a PR firm, where I used to handle social media accounts of some of the popular Marathi celebs.”
“But then I decided to quit my job as I couldn’t stay away from my acting passion. Then I started giving auditions for the TV shows and got a chance to work in Jago Mohan Pyaare”, he added.
The actor then spoke about his entire journey of Maharashtrachi Hasyajatra. He said, “I still remember, I had to go through a surgery of my thigh just a few days before my auditions. It was difficult for me to walk and the doctor had also advised me to take bed rest. But, my brother supported me to attend the auditions and luckily I was selected.”
“During the shoot of initial episodes of the show, I would cover my thigh injury with the bandage so that it shouldn’t bleed in between shoots,” he added.
Prithvik considers actor
Siddharth Jadhav as his acting inspiration. While talking about Siddharth he said, “Siddharth had come to our show as a guest and after watching my act, he was so impressed that he came on the stage to hug me. I just can’t forget that moment. And Siddharth will always be my inspiration in my acting career.”
Talking about his special moment from the show Maharashtrachi Hasyajatra, Prithvik said, “As said earlier, I used to handle the social media accounts of Marathi actors and because of this show, I could share the screen with them. This is the real pay-off for me.”
When asked about his future plans into acting, the actor said, “The grey characters in shows fascinate me and I would love to do negative roles in the future.”
