Reality shows are on usually for 3-4 months where celebrities from various fields live under the same roof and fight for their survival to ultimately emerge as the show's winner. Transwoman Saisha Shinde, who was seen in Lock Upp, developed feelings for comedian Munawar Faruqui on the show. On Karan Kundrra's insistence, she revealed her feelings but was also sure of Munawar not reciprocating in a similar way. After getting evicted from the show due to her altercation with host Kangana Ranaut, Saisha, did an exclusive interview with ETimes TV, where she stated that Munawar will always remain special in her life. She said, "When it comes to Munawar he’s someone mere liye joh main ek 17/18 saal ki ladki experience nahi kar paayi Woh Mujhe Woh experience dilata hai. The way he pulls my leg, teases me, when I am angry and he just doesn’t leave me till I don’t forgive him. All these things I’ve never experienced because I just came out as a trans woman a year ago. Mere life mein joh Iss topic par experience nahi hui that Munawar is somewhere fulfilling then. He did all these things unknowingly and because of these things he's always going to be special for me."

Devoleena Bhattacharjee was attracted towards Pratik Sehajpal in Bigg Boss 15 and was even vocal about it. They shared a special bond with each other and Rakhi Sawant would often tease them. Rakhi had even stated that despite having a boyfriend outside Devoleena keeps hugging and kissing Pratik. Commenting on good friend Devoleena's equation with Pratik, Vishal Singh had exclusively told ETimes TV, "I feel ab Dil hai pyaar hai jahan aajaye aajaye kya keh sakte hain… agar Dil par control hota toh life mein issues kum hote…"

In Bigg Boss 15, Rashami Desai openly expressed her feelings for Umar Riaz on the show. She even confided in Tejasswi Prakash about the same and said that she "liked" him but is unaware about his feelings for her. This happened after Rashami's fight with Devoleena Bhattacharjee where the latter accused her of having Umar as her mouthpiece.

In Bigg Boss 14, Rakhi Sawant's attraction towards Abhinav Shukla turned into obsession in no time. Earlier, Abhinav welcomed the healthy flirting bit as it looked funny and made everyone laugh. However, things took a drastic turn and murkier when Rakhi pulled Abhinav's short's strings, wrote his name on her body and passed comments. This also led to a fight between Rubina Dilaik and Rakhi.

Arshi Khan tried to create a romantic angle with Hiten Tejwani on the show and declared that he is her crush. She even kissed him on his cheek during one of the tasks to prove that she's the queen and her innumerous attempts at trying to flirt with Hiten were sweet.
